San Patricio Festival in Mexico City

A major cultural festival in honor of St. Patrick's Day is taking place in Mexico City, featuring concerts, parades, world fairs, and theater performances. The events aim to strengthen the friendship between Mexico and Ireland and will be held in various parts of the city until March 15th.


Visitors at the stands will be able to verify the validity of this cultural encounter that strengthens identity and diversity. Admission is free, and the fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Prolongación Canal de Miramontes, Colonia Coapa, San Bartolo el Chico, in the Tlalpan borough of Mexico City. For theater lovers, playwright, theater director, actress, and journalist Edna Ochoa presents her play "The Most Effective Method." For this Saturday, the 14th, starting at 12 p.m., the musical groups Ri Puca, Skal Mo Thalam (from Aguascalientes), Bridig's Flame, the Mexico City Bagpipe Band, and Argot (from Chihuahua) are scheduled to perform. On Sunday, the 15th, a mass for Saint Patrick will be held at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of La Conchita in Coyoacán, and at 11 a.m. the commemorative Saint Patrick's Day parade will begin, departing from Frida Kahlo Park to the National Museum of Interventions. This Friday, the 13th of March, starting at 8 p.m., Gia Sound, Karla Porras, Soft de León, and Aby de León will perform, with guest Mayita Campos, one of the most outstanding voices with a long tradition in Mexican rock, as she had the opportunity to participate in the 1971 Avándaro Festival with the group Los Yaki, so it promises to be a very interesting night. This jam session will take place at Mezcalería El Conejo en la Luna, located at Valladolid 56 interior 1 in the Roma Norte borough, Cuauhtémoc borough of CDMX.
